Gender Differences in Factors Associated with Unsheltered Status and Increased Risk of Premature Mortality Among Individuals Experiencing Homelessness

Study author Ann Elizabeth Montgomery, PhD, Assistant Professor in the department of Health Behavior in the UAB School of Public Health and the National Center on Homelessness Among Veterans, and her colleagues used 2008-2014 data from the 100,000 Homes Campaign, whose volunteers surveyed people living on the streets and in shelters in 96 communities.
